Lifting loads without electricity with the BASIC-LIFT

Material handling is a difficult task, particularly in unfavourable or flexible production environments. Especially when there is no direct power supply for the handling solutions. The vacuum lifters of the BASIC-LIFT series master this obstacle brilliantly without being connected to the mains.

BASIC-LIFT generates vacuum mechanically

The smallest from AERO-LIFT is exactly right where there are difficult production conditions or changing process steps have to be carried out. Especially in environments where there is no power supply, improvisation often takes place, which in turn increases the strain on employees, tools and working materials. Cables lying around and restricted structural conditions become a safety risk and inevitably reduce the efficiency of your production.

The BASIC-LIFT minimizes this risk by a purely mechanical vacuum generation. The vacuum required to transport the workpiece is generated inside the vacuum lifter by a piston mechanism. As soon as the vacuum lifter is placed on the material to be transported and lifted by the chain hoist, the piston pulls on the suspension of the lifting device and generates the vacuum. When the load is lowered again, the piston of the suspension also lowers again at the vacuum lifter and allows air to flow into the system. This causes the vacuum level to drop and the load to release.

Move small loads easily

The BASIC-LIFT 100 offers the simplest entry into a safe and efficient handling of sheets, plates, metal rounds or blanks without major effort for the conversion of production plants or factory buildings. With a load capacity of 100kg and a compact design, the vacuum lifting device already enables the transport of metal blanks or rounds on existing plants. The vacuum lifter can, for example, be operated on a stationary or mobile pillar jib crane as well as on a portal or bridge crane.

The only connection required is a correspondingly large crane hook. In this variant, the small vacuum lifting device is available with only one suction plate and, with a dead weight of approx. 20 kg, can also be easily transported to its place of use by hand or by floor transport. In addition, the smallest "currentless" jack is thus also well suited for mobile use on construction sites, external non-permanent sites, as well as in plant construction or for outdoor use. The consistent focus on a robust device design enables applications that are only possible with difficulty for current-controlled systems due to the environmental conditions.

Security according to usual standards

Of course, all vacuum lifters of the BASIC-LIFT series comply with the standard regulations of EN 13155 and can therefore not be found without electricity. All vacuum lifters of the series are equipped with an optical-acoustic warning device, which provides the operator with reliable information about the vacuum level and ensures the necessary safety when working with the device. The warning device is powered by a rechargeable battery, which can be replaced both by the system slide valve and by AERO-LIFT as part of an annual safety and accident prevention inspection (UVV).

However, this single electrical component is not a break in the otherwise continuous, current-free concept of the series, but rather the decisive backwheel for users and process operators. The use of an electrically controlled control and warning device ensures that man and material are well protected in the event of malfunction or incorrect operation.

Variations according to application purpose

For larger areas that need to be picked up and higher weights that need to be transported, the series offers extensions for almost every need. Thus weights up to 2000 kg can be transported and also more unusual goods can be moved. Possible applications include the loading of laser or waterjet cutting systems, the transport of switch cabinets, safes or ovens. The BASIC-LIFT can be used as soon as a suction surface of 230 mm is available and sufficient load distribution is made possible, if necessary by additional suction plates.

In the case of larger surfaces, several suction plates are therefore used on a carrier construction consisting of main and cross beams, also due to the overhang of plates to the suction surface. This extension also offers decisive advantages over a "single plate constellation", even with smaller transport goods. Due to the decentralised position of the suction plates, it is also possible to have a swinging or spring-loaded suspension. This increases the flexibility of the vacuum lifting device abruptly on shaped, curved and irregular surfaces and can therefore also be used, for example, on construction machinery for laying pipes or mobile cranes for the in-house transport of moulded parts in metal casting.

LIVE at the Blechexpo 2019

Experience the BASIC-LIFT in full "life size" and test lifting with the currentless vacuum lifter at Blechexpo 2019.

At Blechexpo 2019 in Stuttgart from 5.11. - 8.11.19 in Hall 3, Stand 3201, we will present you with optimum solutions for your handling tasks in your company. In addition to this currentless version, you will also see vacuum devices for applications such as horzitontal plate transport, the handling of formed or cut metal and sheet metal parts and vacuum solutions for the automated transplant of various workpieces in metal and sheet metal processing.
