The basic principle is simple: The VUSS vacuum lifting technology does not attack the transported goods but sucks them in. The gripper does not have to recognize whether the material has gaps, is inclined or consists of several parts. The AERO-LIFT VUSS system, which can now switch many small suction points on and off via flow valves, always creates a vacuum and the goods can be moved gently, safely and fully automatically to their destination. AERO-LIFT will be presenting a state-of-the-art robotic cell at LIGNA at Stand D01 in Hall 15: Pick & place of sawn wood parts and various boards. But metal parts or electronic particles can also be lifted in this way.
The more than 100 possible variations of the gripping system also make it possible to adapt it to other materials and tasks. Simply combine your existing robots with a VUSS large-area gripper and create an optimal overall solution for your company. The vacuum lifting device pays for itself in a very short time. By the way, only high-quality, durable materials are used for the VUSS system, which, in addition to saving operational time, also significantly shorten robot set-up times and thus make processes even more economical.
Here we briefly explain the design of the VUSS large-area gripper suction foot:
There is a suitable valve for almost any cargo. This minimises air consumption and thus lowers energy costs. VUSS valves can be replaced quickly and easily to keep set-up times short. No bypass holes are required. No clogging of the valve by dirt particles. All components are easily accessible.
Durable, process-reliable handling for every application: UV-resistant for outdoor use. Resistant to ageing, moisture and temperature. High wear resistance. Short reset times for high cycle rates. Quick change of the suction rubber mat possible as well as individual hole patterns adapted to the goods to be transported.
fully automatic palletizing, picking, depalletizing and sorting
VUSS vacuum systems are used in the wood industry both for handling raw materials, e.g. boards or planks, and for finished furniture parts (separately or in cartons).
Getting to know other applications of the VUSS
VUSS valve technology is so variable that it can of course also be combined with other vacuum lifting devices. With this modern vacuum lifting technology, a tube lifter for "one-man" operation can also lift undefined workpieces with gaps or interspaces. A powerful blower builds up the vacuum in these vacuum lifting devices. AERO-LIFT will also be presenting a MAXI-LIFT 75 tube lifter with large-area gripper and VUSS at the LIGNA stand.
Suction-lifting-lowering release is the simple basic principle of all AERO-LIFT tube lifters. The patented VUSS valves in the special suction foot also allow the suction of panel materials with recesses such as stair stringers. Numerous additional functions make working easier and enable an ergonomic working posture. Loads caused by lifting, bending and moving the loads are largely avoided. In addition to horizontal transport, the tube lifter can swivel the load in various ways: manually, i.e. by muscle power and leverage, or simply pneumatically.
The tube lifter type MAXI-LIFT 75 with VUSS technology from AERO-LIFT is suitable for loads up to 75 kg. Whether crates, wooden boards, cartons, barrels or bags - no problem for the MAXI-LIFT tube lifter. Technical data MAXI-LIFT 75 with VUSS:
Like all AERO-LIFT tube lifters, the device complies with the current safety requirements of EN 14238 for "hand-held manipulators" and thus offers maximum safety. High-quality VUSS components make the MAXI-LIFT a durable helper for your handling task.
